My Favorite Makeup Products.
Hello Friends!
For those of you who’ve come back to read my second post, thank you! For those of you who are here for the first time, welcome!
If you read my first post you know my love for all of this began with makeup and beauty! So, that’s where I wanted to start! Over the years I’ve tried tons of products and I’d like to share my everyday favorites with you!
Disclaimer: You will see lots of Milani products!

Face
I have tried both high-end and drugstore foundations but Milani’s Conceal + Perfect has become my go-to! It has great coverage, blends well and feels nice on my skin. I normally use shade 01A Creamy Nude, but change in the winter when I lose my summer glow, haha. To apply, I use a large fluffy round brush. I find I get the most out of one pump of foundation this way and in turn making it last longer! This retails for $9.99.
I used Kokie Cosmetics concealer for years but when Milani came out with their own, I had to try it. To no surprise, I loved it! I have pretty dark bags under my eyes and this is the best concealer for that! [In my opinion.] With it being a similar formula to the foundation it blends seamlessly. I use shade 120 Light Vanilla. I use a beauty blender to apply my concealer. This retails for $8.99.
As for highlighters I have tons of favorites but the one that has the most shine is ColourPop’s Superstock Highlighter in Flexitarian. A champagne colored highlighter with lots of shimmers. I normally apply it to my cheekbones, tip of my nose, corner of my eyes and my cupid’s bow. I use a fluffy highlighter and small detail brush to apply. This retails for $8.00.
Last, but certainly not least, setting spray! A key product for making your make up last all day. My go-to is [surprise suprise] Milani’s Make It Last setting spray. It has a great floral aroma, it’s hydrating, sits well on my skin and has a 16hr hold! They also have a Make it Dewey and Make it Last Matte setting sprays. This retails for $9.99.
Eyes
Raise your hand if you have too many eyeshadows to count. I limited my list to only a few, it wasn’t easy!
A go-to and great travel pallet is the Mad For Mattes in Summer Breeze by e.l.f, a great low price brand. It was a wide range of shades and are well pigmented. I use different brushes for each part of my eye, then blend and blend, haha. This retails for $10.00.
I like to use just a pinch of a shimmery shadow in the middle of my eyelid. My two favorites are both from ColourPop! Fluffy is a gold shade is purple/pink shimmer and Amaze is a light pink shade with gold shimmer. The When I’m feeling adventurous and want to wear eyeliner, my go-to is Milan’s Eye Tech Extreme liquid liner pen. Its fine point tip makes applying a breeze. This retails for $7.99.
I’m not a fan of dark overfilled eyebrows, just not my thing. However, I do like to have a little shape to my brows. The product that changed my eyebrow game was Lime Crime’s Bushy Brow pen and gel. Don’t let the name fool you, they are great for creating a subtle look. I use shade Dirty Blonde. The pen retails for $20.00 and the gel was just marked down to $14.00 from $18.00!!
Mascara is another product where I’ve tried tons of brands, both high end, and drug store. When looking for a mascara I want one that will add both length and volume. My favorite [at the moment] has been L’Oreal’s Voluminous in Carbon Black. They have a straight and curved brush, I prefer the straight brush. This retails for $6.74.
Lips
Alexa, play Lip Gloss by Lil Mama. I was never a big fan of lip glosses till I decided to try Revlon’s Super Lustrous Gloss in Rosey Future. it’s not overly sticky like other glosses I have tried in the past, plus the color is gorgeous! A new favorite is ColourPop’s Ultra Glossy Lip in Fantasia, a beautiful nude gloss with gold shimmer. Revlon’s retails for $5.99 and Colourpop’s retails for $7.00! a few of my favorites.
Every girl needs to have her go-to nude lipstick and mine is Milani’s Color Statement Lipstick in Naked. It’s the perfect light pink shade for my skin tone. It applies so smooth and fades nicely, not in patches like others. This retails for $5.99.
When I’m going for a little more drama for a night out, I tend to grab a dark red or terracotta shade. My two favorite long-lasting lipsticks are Anastasia Beverly Hills’ liquid lip in Ashton and ColourPop’s Ultra Matte Lip in Monday. Both apply nicely, last all night and do not over dry my lips like other matte lipsticks. Anastasia’s retails for $20.00 and ColourPop’s retails for only $7.00!
